About MeAnita's artwork combines fine art detail with intense tonal colours to convey emotion through abstract realism. Paint layers and mark making are applied to produce a work with opaque and sometimes transparent layers inviting the view to glimpse subtle impressions while appreciating the whole.
The diverse artworks are always figurative, looking at relationships, friendships and even rivalry a story for the viewer to unfold. |
Artistic InfluencesAnita's work shows influence from the Expressionists and Fauves, and is inspired by surrent artists Peter Doig, Pam Hawkes, Christian Hook and Chris Gwaltney.
